The Solution:  Perch a snake unto your mast.  This solution may sound too simple to be effective.  But it works.

The Proof: I discovered this method while on a client’s boat. My client explained that since the snake placement, bird droppings had dramatically decreased. Members of the crew agree that less time and productivity is being spent cleaning up after the birds. They have observed that the only birds daring enough to come near the vessel have been little black birds!
